Siilo was founded in 2016 and has fast become the leading medical messaging application in Europe. Its features enable healthcare professionals to seek and receive advice from their peers as well as collaborating on patient cases through secure channels. The app boasts a user base of almost half a million, with more than 40 million messages shared through its platform per month. The app’s acquisition comes as part of Doctolib’s expansion strategy, bringing expanded reach and mobile expertise to its operations. As recently as 2022, Doctolib launched its own secure messaging service for healthcare teams, ‘Doctolib Team’, which has since been integrated into the firm’s booking system and electronic medical record services. Siilo’s software, while remaining an autonomous product, will also be integrated into Doctolib Team in Germany, France and Italy. Squair advised Siilo with a team led by partner Olivier Lopez.
