This weeks marks the opportunity for the Japanese car manufacturer's to showcase the newest and craziest vehicles to their line-ups as Tokyo hosts the 45th edition of it's biennial motor show.

With big brands like Toyota, Nissan, Lexus and Mazda all unveiling new cars to be launched into an increasingly competitive market, anticipation for what's coming has been heightened by rumours of an industry struggling to react quickly enough towards the 'e-revolution'.

As the major players unveiled their new designs it became clear that while the move to electric is being embraced, there hasn't been quite the level of excitement towards many of the models that the manufacturers may have hoped for.  However, there were some notable launches and the potential for some very intriguing and stylish cars to be arriving on our roads soon.

Of all the cars on display this year, the clearest winner in the eyes of those watching appeared to be the stylish Mazda Vision Coupe.  Take a look at the gallery below to see which of the new cars at this years Tokyo Motor Show you'd be happy to have on your driveway.
