Justin Bieber Owes Millions to Scooter Braun Amid Financial Struggles.
Justin Bieber still owes his former manager, Scooter Braun, millions despite ending their professional relationship nearly two years ago. A six-month independent audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), obtained by TMZ, revealed Bieber owes Braun over $8.8 million. The audit was completed in April.
A source told Page Six that the debt stems from a loan Braun made to help Bieber cover losses from his canceled 2022 Justice tour. “He stepped in to help him,” the insider said.
Despite Bieber’s estimated $300 million net worth and a $200 million music catalog sale in 2022, recent reports suggest financial struggles. Last October, TMZ reported Bieber was considering suing his financial managers for allegedly mishandling $300 million of his fortune. An insider blamed Bieber’s “out of control” spending habits. “He spends eye-watering amounts per month. At one point, he couldn’t even get a credit card,” the source claimed. “Justin is surrounded by a lot of people that do not have his best interests at heart.”

The Hollywood Reporter also noted concerns about Bieber’s financial state, including over $20 million in debt from the canceled Justice tour. However, Bieber’s business manager Lou Taylor disputed the $20 million figure and said Braun had been overpaid $26 million in commissions.
Following Bieber’s doubts about Braun’s audit, Braun’s company Hybe hired PWC to conduct another review. This audit found Bieber owed Braun over $8 million, though Braun waived $1 million he was owed.
Bieber’s representatives have denied financial troubles, dismissing reports as “clickbait stupidity” and insisting Bieber remains focused on his career. “Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality,” his publicist said.

Despite these reassurances, friends and insiders continue to express concern. One source told Page Six, “He’s flying in all his friends on private jets to his birthday party, putting it all over Instagram. He’ll spend $300,000 at the Nobu at Coachella. He hasn’t worked in a really long time.” Meanwhile, a close source said, “He’s making music, he’s helping to run a fashion brand, he’s a new father — he’s got a lot of things going on in his life.”
However, Bieber publicly distanced himself from his clothing line Drew House in April, stating on Instagram, “Drew House doesn’t represent me or my family or life. If your [sic] rocking with me the human Justin Bieber don’t waste ur money on Drew House.”
Justin Bieber’s financial struggles and complicated relationships with his former manager paint a concerning picture, but it’s clear he’s still fighting through a lot. Between managing money woes, public scrutiny, and personal pressures, it’s important to hope that Justin is doing okay. Hopefully, he can find the support and stability he needs to sort everything out, focus on his well-being, and continue building a positive future for himself and his family.
