Diddy Allegedly Paid Cassie’s Friend $30K to Stay Silent About Assault.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing fresh and disturbing allegations amid an escalating federal legal battle. On May 19, Kerry Morgan, a longtime friend of Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, took the stand and testified that the music mogul paid her $30,000 to remain silent about an alleged violent assault in 2018.
Morgan claims Diddy attacked her with a wooden hanger after growing furious over Cassie’s new romantic relationship. “He offered me $30,000 to sign an NDA so I wouldn’t go public,” she told the court. The incident reportedly left her with a concussion, vomiting, and persistent dizziness.
Her testimony forms part of a broader federal case against Diddy, who was arrested in 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Morgan, now 39, described a tightly controlled environment around Cassie during her decade-long relationship with Diddy, alleging that “most people around Cassie were on Diddy’s payroll,” including her friends, assistants, and music collaborators. She testified that after the assault, both Diddy and Cassie urged her to sign the non-disclosure agreement, which ultimately ended her friendship with Cassie.

Cassie and Diddy’s on-and-off relationship spanned from 2007 to 2018, beginning when she was 21 and he was 37. In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of sexual and physical abuse—allegations he has denied. The lawsuit was settled just one day later for a reported $20 million, but she has since returned to court as a key witness in the broader federal investigation.
Morgan’s testimony also included two additional alleged incidents of abuse. She claimed that in one instance, Diddy chased her and Cassie through the Hollywood Hills in a car, prompting them to hide at a neighbor’s home. In another, while in Jamaica, she says Diddy dragged Cassie by her hair and slammed her head against a brick surface. “Cassie appeared unconscious for nearly half a minute,” she recalled.
Although $30,000 is a relatively small sum compared to Diddy’s estimated $900 million net worth, the alleged hush payment adds to a growing web of financial settlements and NDAs linked to the case. Diddy’s immense wealth, power, and connections are now under intense scrutiny as prosecutors build their case.
