The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the nationwide launch of the Trump Accounts app, which is now available on major mobile app stores ahead of the official Trump Accounts program launch on July 4, 2026.

Treasury said the app will serve as the primary interface for the Trump Accounts program, which it described as a policy designed to help American families build long-term financial strength. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the administration was expanding access to economic participation by giving parents and young Americans direct access to the program through the app.

Treasury also confirmed that account activation will begin for millions of American families before the official July 4 launch date. Families who already submitted IRS Form 4547 to enroll children in Trump Accounts will begin receiving activation emails starting today. Treasury said those emails will be distributed in phases between now and July 4.

According to Treasury, activation emails will come only from no-reply@TrumpAccounts.Treasury.gov. Families must follow instructions in the email to complete account setup through the Trump Accounts app or through TrumpAccounts.gov.

Beginning July 4, 2026, Trump Accounts will begin accepting contributions from parents, family members, employers, charitable organizations, governments, and other eligible contributors, subject to annual contribution limits.

Treasury also said eligible children will begin receiving a $1,000 pilot program contribution deposited directly into their Trump Accounts starting July 4.

The department said there is no cost to open an account and confirmed that eligible children can be enrolled at any point before turning 18 by submitting IRS Form 4547.

Treasury issued multiple warnings about potential scams tied to the activation process as rollout begins nationwide. The department said legitimate Trump Account activation communications will only come by email from no-reply@TrumpAccounts.Treasury.gov and stated it will not contact families by phone call or text message regarding activation.

Treasury instructed families not to respond to calls or texts about Trump Accounts and warned users not to rely on phone numbers found through internet search results. The department said customer support is available only through secure in-app or online callback requests.

The launch marks the beginning of phased account activation for families who have already enrolled children in the program, while new applicants remain eligible to open accounts and enroll in the pilot program through IRS Form 4547.
