“As we walked into the primary bedroom, glamour hit us as we were met with a completely mirrored wall, mirrored dressing table and mirrored refrigerator…reflecting celebrity life!” Madeline Schwarzman recalled in an email.

Besserman herself was born in the apartment and lived there until age five, before her family moved one floor up. They sold the unit in 1991 to the current owners, who’ve maintained its artistic soul and retro flair. “It still feels very artistic and different,” Besserman told reporters. “Even in my parents’ unit, people are always struck by the style, because it’s very much an artist building.”

Built in 1974, the three-unit building boasts a unique blend of warmth and coastal luxury. Inside the apartment, there’s a raised dining area with hardwood floors, a large primary bathroom with an oversized tub, and wood cabinetry in the kitchen. The sunken living room is framed by angled wood-framed windows that give it a distinct yacht-like feel—fitting for its seaside location.

Today, Stevie Nicks, now 76, continues to live in Los Angeles and shows no signs of slowing down. She recently announced at the Pollstar Awards that she’s working on her first new album in over a decade—a project born out of solitude after being evacuated from her Pacific Palisades home during the January Palisades fire.
