The biggest rail strikes in three decades will soon begin to affect UK travel, with trains set to be cancelled across the nation for much of the week.

In recent weeks, the UK has been plunged into a supply chain crisis, with extensive queues outside petrol forecourts, energy suppliers going bust, and major retailers’ stock levels at their lowest since 1983.

Stocks in Europe have risen following the release of the UK’s updated foreign travel guidance. A number of new countries have been added to its green list.
