GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg and Nabarro in the UK advised GSA, the global student accommodation leader and GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, on their acquisition of Threesixty Developments’ 7150-bed accommodation portfolio from Oaktree Capital Management.

The transactions is the largest UK student accommodation this year. Being built during the last three years, the portfolio includes 3634 operational beds across nine purpose-built student accommodation properties located in six university cities – Liverpool, Bristol, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Southampton. Additionally, the deal includes a pipeline of 3516 beds in five other UK cities, which will be launched by GSA within the next 2.5 years.

GSA has also acquired the operating platform of the Student Housing Company, one of the UK’s best-known student accommodation brands.

GSK Stockmann comprehensively advised GSA and GIC, in particular on all Luxembourg corporate and finance issues in connection with the due diligence process, the implementation of the bid structure In Luxembourg and the transaction.
